Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Tabular at usetabular.com (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and paying customers.

2. Description of Service

Tabular is an online tool that allows users to upload CSV and XLSX spreadsheet files, apply cleanup operations (such as removing duplicates, trimming whitespace, and converting formats), preview results, and download the processed output. The Service is provided as-is, subject to the plan limits described on our Pricing page.

3. Accounts

You may use certain features of the Service without an account. To access the dashboard, job history, and higher usage limits, you must create an account using a valid email address or Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload files containing illegal content or content that violates any applicable law
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, plan restrictions, or security measures
• Use automated scripts to abuse the Service in a way that degrades performance for others
• Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service without written permission
• Upload files containing malware, viruses, or malicious code

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Plans and Billing

Tabular offers a free tier and paid plans. Paid plans are billed annually via Stripe. Plan limits (file size, number of jobs, etc.) are described on the Pricing page and may be updated from time to time with reasonable notice.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods, but you will retain access to your paid plan until the end of the current period.

6. File Storage and Deletion

All uploaded files and processed output files are automatically and permanently deleted after 24 hours. Download links expire after 1 hour. We are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from file expiration. You are responsible for downloading your processed files before they expire.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all files you upload. By uploading a file, you grant Tabular a limited, temporary license to process that file solely for the purpose of delivering the Service to you. We do not claim any rights to your data.

The Tabular name, logo, and software are owned by us and may not be used without written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce perfectly accurate results. You use the Service at your own risk and should always verify processed output before using it in production systems.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tabular shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
